Sam was up for three awards at the BRITS, with Best Rock/Alternative Act being a vote-off by the artists fans on social media platform TikTok.

He told ITV 2 and Clara Aamfo:

"Anything voted for by the fans means more to me, that would be amazing."

Sam's guitarist Dean Thompson posted to his social media: "JESUS CHRIST. These nerves/excitement are totally overwhelming. Keep your fingers, toes, legs, arms and eyes crossed we don't absolutely fill our kegs live on TV.

Fender previously said he will give his BRIT award to his local boozer and turn it into a beer pump.

"ITS COMING HOME TO NE29 MAN!!!!! (Manifest, manifest, manifest)"
