The Masked Singer returned to our screens tonight, with a whole host of colourful and wacky costumes.

As always, viewers were glued to their sofas as they continued to investigate which celebrity was hiding under the mask.

During tonight’s show, Rockhopper took the stage, and fans are convinced it is a member of the BRIT award winning Girls Aloud.

Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding racked up a huge number of hits, a BRIT award, and millions of records sold worldwide.

Fans seem to think that the clues for Rockhopper lead to Irish pop princess Nadine Coyle.

Although her strong Irish accent was not helping fans to decide, some of the clues definitely did.

Some of the clues helped fans to make up their minds, for example, references about jumping and being an entertainer could refer to some of the band’s biggest hits.

‘Jump’ and ‘The Show’ were both big hits for the pop group, and fans took to social media to suggest it could be Miss Coyle.

One fan tweeted “Girls Aloud did a version of Jump. I think they’re disguising their voice and no one would need to do that more than Nadine,” with a second, in firm agreement, adding: “Rockhopper… The Show… Jump… Love Machine. Nadine Coyle”

Another added “MaskedSingerUK Rockhopper… The Show… Jump… Love Machine and the “first” girl group to debut at No.1 = Nadine Coyle”

And another tweeted “MaskedSingerUK Rockhopper… The Show… Jump… Love Machine. Nadine Coyle”.
