'Newcastle and Gateshead's skyline will be lit by spectacular high-powered interactive lasers for three nights over the New Year's Eve period'.
Newcastle City Council, alongside BAFTA award winning artist Se Lee-Delisle and NE1, have worked together on what is described as a 'dramatic' laser display.
The display will even help to light various iconic landmarks across the city to help bring in 2022. From Tyne Bridge, Malmaison, Sage Gateshead, Civic Centre, Baltic and Hadrian's Tower.
If you visit the display, you will be able to control the lights, from colour to the movements, from your mobile device via the City Light's website.
You can visit the lights display:
The lights will be able to be seen from a 10 mile radius, including Newcastle Gateshead Quayside, as well as the North part of the city from Newcastle's Hadrian Tower and Newcastle Civic Centre, so keep your eyes peeled.
Councillor Ged Bell said:
"The Laser Light show is going to be fantastic and will be a wonderful way to end the year. It's going to be great to see the lasers light up the city's skyline and illuminate our iconic landmarks."
